2015 Concerts and Looks
Add some live music to your life this summer. Music is one of the best ways of getting away without having to actually go on a getaway, so live music can take you that much farther. This year offers the opportunity to escape to a fan filled environment and experience some of the most celebrated artists of yesterday and today. Finding the music and artists you want to see perform is as simple as flipping through the music on your iTunes, Pandora stations; or even the CDs and Vinyls you keep around. Looking forward to the event will be exciting and one of the coolest parts about preparing for the show will be figuring out what to wear. Don’t fret too much; here are a few suggestions on what to wear to the show.
Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons
While in his eighties Frankie Valli’s shows are sure to not only appeal to his original 60s and 70s crowd, but all the new fans that “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Sherry,” and their countless other hits have gathered over the decades. Considering the enormous success of “Jersey Boys” on Broadway –and lets not forget the flick that came out last summer- there is bound to be a throng of people ready to flashback to the 60s. Think about what is in your closet today that reflects what the cast of “Mad Men” wears. Polka-dots on any piece of clothing is sure to give any outfit that classic vibe. Another probable look could be a pencil skirt or cigarette pant maybe paired with a regular white tee or a cardigan. At one point you may feel like you are actually dancing in a theater in December of 1963 -and you will sure look the part.
The Beach Boys
The words “Ba ba ba ba Barbara Ann” will be booming across the country and providing a beach scene everywhere The Beach Boys perform. Perhaps you may take this opportunity to rock a classic loose fitting island shirt. Maybe a tropical printed dress is more your style. Take into consideration the 60s California surfer-scene, colorful stripes may just do the trick.
Sir Elton John, the king of glitz and talent will bring along his piano and magical voice to blow minds with stints in Las Vegas, Texas, Louisiana, the U.K., and around Europe. “Rocket Man” and “Tiny Dancer” are but a meager fraction of the songs he will belt out to a crowd ready to flow through the decades of chart topping classics. With this wardrobe there is so much room for fun. Vibrant colors –oranges, hot pinks –with maybe some sequins sparkling from top to bottom will pay homage to the flamboyant legend.
Zac Brown Band or Shania Twain
A country music show from Zac Brown Band or country pop performance from Shania Twain will transport you to the Bible belt –if you’re not already there. For a night with Zac Brown, jeans and a tshirt will be just enough, if you’d like throw on that plaid shirt that you always wear anyways. This look will give you the laid back nature of drinking sweet tea on a hot summer night. Above all, for a little extra country touch go with a classic pair of cowboy boots. If you go see Shania Twain do any of the above with a little rocker chic edge. Add rhinestones to the top, plaid shirt or jeans –keep the cowboy boots on. P.S. Twain’s “Rock this Country Tour” will be the last tour she will embark on in her career –so if you’re a fan, make the plan to see her.
Katy Perry or Nicki Minaj
Planning on seeing the quirky California girl or the pink enthusiast rapper? The chart toppers will absolutely sell out. Statement making prints or extra bright or neon colors for shows to see either Katy Perry or Nicki Minaj will reflect the high energy experience that these concerts are bound to be.
Taylor Swift or Ed Sheeran
Taylor Swift and her male BFF- Ed Sheeran- will bring girls and guys alike to their world tours. Both set records with their albums and shelled out songs that were consistently playing on the airwaves and getting stuck in peoples heads for days. Each of their tours will undeniably succeed in pleasing jam-packed crowds. For either of these shows just take note from the fashion savvy of the two. Evident in all the recent shots the paparazzi catch of Swift she is a major fan of the crop-tee. Pair the crop top with a plaid high-waist-skirt or pant and you’re all set.
There are tons of concerts happening this year. The most amazing part will be the live music and the environment all the emotions of the sounds emitting around you will create. Fashion is just an aspect that will add to the excitement of the experience.
