Every woman –or man- is self conscious about something. For the most part, those self-conscious feelings focus around their personal body image. Struggles with body image are not current issues but have been around since the dawn of man and will continue to be around –no one will ever be completely satisfied nor will positivity always conquer. However, there are simple steps you can take every day to help you love your body and self overall. Here are eight:

1. Exercise – even a little.
You’ve heard over and over how one of the most important things you can do for your body is exercise. Weightlifting, cardio, jogging, and kickboxing are all great means for workouts, however even a walk around your neighborhood could make a difference. Take a walk get some fresh air; not only are you getting your body moving but being outdoors could help you clear your mind and feel more at ease about concerns or doubts.

I enjoy wandering and getting lost because that's the only way to discover new aspects about people, places, things and most significantly myself. I find inspiration in the various elements of travel, history, sports, fashion, music, movies and food. Writing is one of the most rewarding means for me to share my enthusiasm for the details of those inspirations.
