Georgia Woman Adopts Dying Dog to Take Him on a Bucket List Holiday

If you’re looking for one of those “faith in humanity” pieces to read for getting your feel-good fix of the day, this bucket list dog story is sure to help.

A woman named Nicole Elliot from Columbus, Georgia adopted an old dog named Chester. The dog from Animal Ark Rescue was affected by cancer and hence terminally ill. Elliot decided to take Chester on a holiday and document the footage, calling it “Chester’s Final Journey.”

Elliot posted a picture of the dog before their journey and said,

“Chester had to go to the vet today. He isn’t feeling his best. Keep us in your thoughts and prayers. Give all of your beautiful fur babies a hug and a kiss from us. Squeeze them tight too… hehe! Don’t mind the kitten robbing my suit case in the background.”

Animal Ark Rescue is a shelter with many rescued animals with conditions just like Chester. To help these animals with their illnesses, they are also accepting donations on their website.

Hopefully, Chester has a trip of his lifetime with his new owner and is finally laid peacefully to rest.
