Julia Roberts is the New Face of…
Givenchy! Riccardo Tisci, creative director of the French fashion house, chose famed actress Julia Roberts, 47, to star as the new face of Givenchy’s Spring/Summer 2015 campaign. The ads, which feature Roberts in an androgynous-looking suit, are black-and-white, minimalist, and a striking. Roberts’ stare is captivating in all of the photos, shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott.
Tisci, who made waves when it was revealed that he was the designer behind Kim K’s classic wedding gown, has since brought Givenchy back into the forefront of celebrity fashion—at least where the Kardashian-Wests are concerned: “Julia Roberts is the perfect interpretation of #Givenchy by @riccardotisci17 iconic codes. She embodies the Spring Summer 2015 collection in this second Advertising Campaign shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. #elegance #beauty #studs #timeless,” said the Givenchy Intagram account this morning.
What do you think of the campaign? Does Roberts embody the Givenchy label in these photographs? Or do you think she’s just not a good fit?
