Mandy Moore Makes Fun of Her 90’s Style
Every youngster fell in love with Mandy Moore as she played Jamie Sullivan, a sweet girl who falls in love with bad boy Langdon Carter in the tearjerker of a hit “A Walk to Remember.” As a late 90’s early 2000’s teen pop star turned actress, Moore had some questionable red carpet moments. With her newest hit “This is Us” impacting the emotional stability of many, she has stepped up her style game tenfold for her latest appearances.
Recently, she talked to the People Magazine about her old red carpet looks. She talked about the interesting choice of clothes she wore to the Kid’s choice awards in 2000. A simple black top, paired with strappy sandals, and the piece de resistance: a pair of tight leather pants with black fringe down the sides. What a lewk.
She told People that she picked out a lot of her own outfits, including that for her “Candy” music video. For that video, she decided it would be cute if she tied a leather ribbon around her upper arm, an interesting choice, but when you take into account she was only 15 it makes a bit more sense.
Moore took to the carpet wearing hot pink flare pants and a black top with hot pink stars emblazoned across the front. Moore worked the red carpet in a halter top made entirely of feathers paired with a horizontal frayed denim skirt, classic 90’s/early 2000’s fashion.
Now Moore keeps it classy on the carpet and in interviews, taking back her role of style icon, with a bit more of a demure, mature look.
