Olga Adds a Little Flirt to Full-Figure Intimates
Who said full figure had to be frumpy?
Olga is one full-figure intimate brand that is rejecting the norms of strict comfort and support, rather adding a flirty side to their apparel line. ‘Flirty’ is their new line of vibrantly colored bras, bralettes and underwear for the fall season. And you won’t have to break the bank to own them.
This week, Olga is set to release the new Flirty line both online and in stores at Macy’s and Kohls. The bras will retail for $45 while the underwear is priced at $12.50. And you’ll get a whole lotta bang for your buck as the collection will feature four bra styles including:
A Deep Plunge in Lace & With Added Lift
A Balconette Bra
An Unlined Underwire
Olga is also extending its sizing for the new collection by adding a 46 bra band and both G and H cups to this mix. The brand previously only covered up to a 44 band size and DDD cup. The new hiphugger panties will also be available in 4x sizing, as opposed to only 2x. These sizes will not only be privy to online shoppers, but a majority of the sizes will also be available in stores.
So, what sparked this fresh and flirty change? The president of core intimates at Olga’s licensing company PVH Corp., Les Hall, tells WWD, “We noticed some of the success that Lane Bryant was having in the specialty category with the sexier, more youthful bras for the full-figure customer.”
Hall explains, “We thought how can we learn from that success and appeal to the customer that shops in chains and department stores.”
And so, we see the birth of Flirty, a collection dedicated to enhancing the playful side of modern day’s coquettish woman. It’s an attitude that spans age, size and shape. According to Olga – Flirty is a way of life.
