Three Ways to Make your Popcorn Pop

By  |  0 Comments

Whether you’re at the movies or at home relaxing, popcorn can be quite a tasty snack. While it’s perfectly fine to reach for a bag of microwavable popcorn, here are a few easy ways to change things up.

1. Forgo the bag

Just buy the kernels. You don’t need to cook popcorn over a stove or have a special popcorn machine to use plain kernels. Put them in a paper lunch bag or a microwavable bowl with a lid and pop them just like you usually do. Add some melted butter and salt and it’ll taste just like movie popcorn.

2. Add brown sugar

This tinge of sweetness is just right for popcorn, almost like caramel corn but without the sticky hassle. And don’t forget a pinch of salt to accent the sweetness. Adding a little bit of butter also helps to let the brown sugar bond to the popcorn instead of falling to the bottom of the bowl.

3. Add chocolate chips

Chocolate makes almost everything better, and chocolate-covered popcorn is no exception. Melt the chocolate in the microwave before sprinkling it on top, and enjoy! To try something even more different, try using white chocolate chips, peanut butter chocolate chips, or peppermint chocolate chips.

Next time you want to try something different when it comes to popcorn, why not try one of these options? Not only are they fast and easy, but you may even stumble across a new favorite. You’ll be surprised at how good it tastes.
