Tory Burch Celebrates With a Moroccan Garden Party
Stylish celebrities and designers everywhere got together for a Moroccan garden party thrown by Tory Burch on Tuesday night in the Hôtel de Sully, a 17th-century mansion just off Place des Vosges.
Guests sat under tented seating areas and in an incredible getaway intimate lounge where rugs and pillows were placed into the geo-hedges to create a magical seating area.
The party was a second celebration for Burch’s new flagship store in Paris’s Rue Saint-Honoré after the cocktail party earlier in the evening. Burch was actually the last to arrive with boyfriend and chief executive of LVMH’s Fashion Division, Pierre-Yves Roussel and the crowd was already enjoying the special performers.

Performances from Q-Tip, Grace Jones and the headliner Lauryn Hill. Balmain designer, Olivier Rousteing whose date for the night was actress Jessica Alba, was especially excited for Hill’s performance. “I’m such a big fan, her biggest fan ever,” he told WWD. Designer Esteban Cortazar, also looked forward to Hill’s performance, saying it brought back memories for the beginnings of his fashion career.

“My first fashion show I did in school, in seventh grade, had a Lauryn Hill song,” he said, after trying to remember the name of the song. Once he got it he belted, “Everything is Everything.”

But all guests ultimately were admired by Burch, who built up a global fashion empire in only a decade.
“She’s such an example for all of us,” said Rousteing.
