Vera Wang Bridal “Show” of Spring 2015

Instead of creating a runway show, Vera Wang decided to showcase her Spring 2015 collection in the form of a short film. The setting? An old mansion on Long Island, portrait a somewhat creepy, dingy feeling, ironic considering it is to embody the luxurious and happiness of a wedding.

The video shows models wandering a dark forest, holding black roses. The featured models are wearing lighter make up, with emphasis on their pale skin tones, and straggly, messy hair, to coincide with old, dirty feeling embodied by the house. Similar to a music video, the shoot is in dark lighting, and periodically the models strike poses or have simple movements in sync with the music.

As for the dresses themselves, they are “classic” Wang – delicate gowns, embroidered and textured with lace and tulle. No matter what your style, you’re bound to find something in this catalog, with dresses ranging from princess to mermaid styles, with various shapes from sweat heart to bustier. Despite your opinion on Vera Wang, every bride would die to wear on of these beautiful gowns down the aisle!
