There are many viewpoints where you can take pictures of beautiful landscapes within the park, but when taking landscape photos at Grand Canyon, it is best to arrive when the sun is low in the sky during sunrise or sunset to get great light across all of the rock strata. Just don’t forget to bring your tripod capabilities for this place because a lot of scenes will be composed using slow shutter speeds!

2. Bagan, Myanmar

There is an extremely wide range to explore around this city and the best time to visit is during late summer when temperatures are at their lowest, and there’s virtually no rainfall. This means that you’ll be able to see both sunrise and sunset from the same location without having your shots ruined by tall clouds!

3. Yosemite National Park, U.S

This place has many great places to take good photos, such as Glacier Point, Tunnel View, or perhaps El Capitan Meadow. Still, one of our favorites would have to be Bridalveil Fall, which attracts photographers like a magnet due to its powerful water flow! The hike up is fairly easy and can be reached from the Bridalveil Fall parking area.

4. The Moon

In our opinion, this is a must-go place for all astrophotographers! Normally there are no auroras, moonbows, or other atmospheric phenomena visible on Earth, but when you’re up in space, then you’ll get to see them clearly with your naked eyes! You can book a flight to International Space Station and spend about 10 days exploring both planet Earth’s day and night landscape. In addition, don’t forget to take an ultra-wide-angle lens because the ISS’s living space is quite tight!

5. Antelope Canyon, U.S

This place should have been included in your must-see list if you’re an enthusiast of light painting! The camera shutter speed can be shortened to several seconds (usually 2~5s), which means that you’ll be able to paint the walls of Antelope Canyon with different types of lights such as torches, LED sticks, flashlights, etc.!

6. Mount Bromo, Indonesia

This is one of the most popular photography hotspots in East Java, and it has many viewpoints where photographers gather together to capture sunrise or sunset scenes at this place. You might miss some shots because other people always come here first thing in the morning, but no worries because there are still some areas where nobody regularly visits, so try hiking around for a day, and you’ll be surprised with what you get!

7. Angkor Wat, Cambodia

This place has been included in ‘must-see’ lists for many years already, but there’s a reason behind it! There are many popular temples in this area, but if we had to pick one, then we’d go for the sunrise at Angkor Wat because its reflection on the water will make your shots look like perfect paintings.

8. Taj Mahal, India

Don’t forget to climb up the stairs of Mehtab Bagh when taking photos here because this is an excellent viewpoint where you can capture both the Ag Fort and Taj Mahal within the same frame! Oh yea, make sure you wear a scarf as well if it’s wintertime because the weather can get very cold here.

9. Bora Bora, French Polynesia

This is an extremely popular island for honeymooners, but what about landscape photographers? Well, there are many beaches and viewpoints where you can use a telephoto lens to take nice sunset photos here! Additionally, don’t forget to bring a polarizing filter with you, too, because that way, there’ll be a richer blue sky in your shot.

10. The Alps, Europe

Any European photographer will know this perfect place well, but we’re pretty sure that there are some people from other parts of the world who have no idea about this place at all. The Alps is a mountain range that can be found between France and Italy, and it’s one of those places where you can find perfect scenery from early summer to late autumn!

11. San Francisco, U.S

This city has been known as a photographer’s paradise because there are many famous and perfect viewpoints, such as Lombard Street, Golden Gate Bridge, etc. Still, our favorite spot would have to be the Pier 39 area, where sea lions gather together. You might not see them at first sight during mid-winter time due to low tide, but they’re always here around sunrise or sunset period!
