Young artist Stephanie Fernandez, 19, has stunned the public with her striking makeup creations. Some of her painted looks appear creepy and horror-movie esque, while others use models as canvases of truly remarkable, painted art.
The makeup that Fernandez applies is never subtle. On her website, Fernandez explains her work saying, “I have been doing makeup for five years and my makeup art varies from special effects/ fantasy to high fashion/beauty. Most of my makeup art is known to be creepy and colorful. In addition to makeup, my art also consists of film, photography, and mask-making.”
On the ‘Instagram Blog,’ which Fernandez was recently featured on, she discussed how her wild style is influenced mainly by things that she hears. She explained, “Most of my makeup is heavily influenced by music. I love to be able to create and see what I am hearing and feeling. I simply see it in my mind’s eye, and my hands do the rest.”
Fernandez is a self-taught, freelance makeup artist and photographer from Shreveport, Louisiana. Her costume makeup tutorials are featured on YouTube through her channel.
