There are various methods when it comes to applying eyeshadow, but if you watch YouTube videos, or someone who is gifted when it comes to makeup skills, they use the same methods. This way of putting on makeup is fool-proof, and you will feel like a pro when you are done.
1. Primer

Before you get to work, apply primer to your eyelid. Doing so will cause your shadow to be darker and have the ability to pop more. Also, the primer will make your eye shadow last all day long. You can head to any local drugstore, or a makeup counter at the mall to obtain some primer.
2. Shadow

Eyeshadow pallets tend to have instructions on how and where to apply the shadow, but eventually you are going to have to let the instructions go, and go off of memory. A good way to remember how to put on your eye shadow is to start with the lightest color. Take that light color and apply it to your eyelid and the arch of your eyebrows. The next color, which will be a tad bit darker than your complexion, you apply to your crease and above. Don’t freak out if your makeup looks like blotches still, you aren’t finished. Lastly, take the dark color and put it on the outer corner of your eyes. Grab your blending brush and blend all of the eyeshadow colors together.
3. Eyeliner

You can apply your liner one of two ways. The first way being with an eyeliner pencil, and you will apply it to the bottom of your eyelid as well as the top eyelid along your lashes. Or the second way, which is the wing tip liner. If this method intimidates you, then all you have to do is head over to YouTube, makeup Instagram pages, or Pinterest to master it.
4. Mascara

Top off your eyeshadow with your favorite mascara! Starting from the bottom of your lash and working up will give your lashes the volume you desire!
