Jamie Dornan, who will play lead as Christian Grey in the upcoming film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey. The model turned actor revealed during the interview that he has never been very fond of his body.
“I don’t like my physique. Who does? I was a skinny guy growing up, and I still feel like that same skinny kid.” Odd, coming from a guy who has posed in his underwear dozens of times for Calvin Klein and who is set to play the body-baring, steamy Christian Grey. Someone better give him a mirror!
Dornan reveals that his character is “careful to keep himself in shape” and is “someone who spends obscene amounts of money on presenting himself.” He admits that prior to the role, “a lot of work was done in the gym” to prep for the high maintenance character. If he knows his character looks good, he’s got to know he looks good!
Despite his shyness about his body, in his spread in the magazine, shot by Mert and Marcus, Dornan rocks a bunch of masculine, sexy looks, including a shot of him in a tiny pair of red underwear in a bathtub. The 50 Shades star seems to be trying to pull off the whole I’m-sexy-but-I-don’t-know-it vibe—and it’s kind of working for him.
