These light weight coverings are based off the Japanese traditional dress, which is far more formal and comes in several different layers. Kimono’s made an appearance on the runway for spring 2014 and have been the cover-up of choice for the season. Stores have been flaunting floral print, see-through, and even single toned opaque kimonos of various lengths and makes. They look great layered, especially over swimwear.

2) Midi Skirts:
There’s something ethereal and beautiful about midi skirts. They look great paired with strappy camisoles and sandals or even with an old band t-shirt and leather jacket. The best thing about this trend is that it can be carried into the chillier months of autumn, with just a bit of tweaking.

3) Palm Print:
Palm Prints are everywhere from t-shirts to socks. This tropically inspired print can automatically make a mundane combination seem well thought out and detailed when in fact, it’s really just a matching outfit of crop-top and shorts.
