After only its second year of business, 6397’s creative director, Stella Ishii decided to continue creating designs of minimalist fare and denim in a way that would help establish a sense of diversity along with a wider range of options for a more complete repertoire for the label. “It’s not about changes every season,” Ishii tells WWD. “It’s about offering a little more variety for the customer.”

New grey denim pieces were cut to give a slouchy feel, both for newly designed cut, as well as a simple pair of jeans. Creating a more assorted collection of T-shirts and knitted shirts, there are a lot more options for even the simplest of pieces. Even the simple dress has been diversified, a tank dress was recreated to be designed in silk.

It’s a smart move for a young brand as it welcomes diversity and embraces simplicity.
