Alexa Chung is essentially known for her “Cool girl” style. Her sense of style is eclectic; both extremely fashion forward, yet grounded and effortless enough to look approachable. It is no wonder that many people do consider her to be a modern style icon. Thus, when Chung for released her own clothing line, it was only natural that followers of fashion would be eager to see what the writer/TV presenter/model and now designer had in store.

Chung’s debut launch took place last year right before summer. Certainly not a traditionalist by any sense of the word, Chung did not choose to be so when approaching the release of her line; rather than compete with the busy fashion week schedule, her debut show was a small party for friends and selected members of the press. The theme? Prom, much to the delight of both the media and her fans alike.

Her designs were hailed as a perfect reflection of her style, wearable and imbued with that j’ne sais quois. It seemed equal parts inspired by street style and vintage styles.

However, this year it seems that Miss Chung is ready to tackle London Fashion Week, as her show will be an official part of the Fashion Week calendar. It is only natural then that most followers of fashion should be waiting with baited breath for her newest presentation.
