Conrad tweeted, “I definitely just got called a basic b*tch! Haha! Sausage curls!? Really @Allure_magazine?”

Conrad took the dig lightly, although some of the qualifications for being basic were pretty common things to enjoy.
The article was about typecasting of celebrities, and who fit under what category. Other celebrities mentioned were Kristen Stewart, Vanessa Hudgens, and Leandra Medine. Below was listed their typecast, and the things that went along with it.
The article’s idea was already offensive, but the category of basic hit the nail on the head.
Some of the things Conrad was called out for was having a “blow out or sausage curls,” wearing skinny jeans, liking “vanilla-cupcake body milk,” and wearing “Essie Ballet Slippers.”
Although there could be a lot worse things to be called, basic is not the first thing that comes to mind when thinking of the former The Hills star.
The article went on to comment on her clothing, calling it “plainness.” She’s so plain that two days before Conrad tweeted at them about the sly dig, they tweeted an article out about “11 Beaut Lessons We’ve Learn From Lauren Conrad.” Make up your mind, Allure!
Allure has yet to comment on Conrad’s tweet. Regardless of how “basic” Allure claims Conrad to be, she’s clearly somewhat of a trendsetter.
