Target is doing another collaboration with a luxury designer and this time it is with French born Joseph Altuzarra. Altuzarra is celebrated for his feminine pieces that mixes french sophistication with American practicality. His celebrity fan base includes Jennifer Lawrence, Cameron Diaz, and Kate Bosworth. These collaborations that Target has commissioned over the years has allowed fashionistas with limited disposable income to enjoy high end fashion for a fraction of the cost. This new line which includes about 50 pieces will available in September 14. The line includes everything from stiletto boots to his signature slit skirts. The lines price range is from 17.99 to 89.99.The line is sexy and feminine. According to Altuzarra when he envisions someone wearing his pieces he see a woman not a girl. The ad promotes a sexy siren in her bedroom wearing a flowy negligee and a lace mask. There will be a subtle twist to classic pieces such as the banker stripe done with a crepe de chine adding a more feminine touch to each piece. Altuzarra says” we put a lot of work into developing the tailoring and it took many fittings to get it just right”. Altuzarra is also nominated for this years CFDA women’s wear designer of the year so this is definitely his year. It is refreshing to see that he puts as much effort into his more affordable line as he does with luxury line. Whose says you cannot get a lots of value in a dollar. You can purchase pieces from the designer from Target or net-a-porter when the line releases.
