It seems that AHS’s current success is due to its renewal for a fifth season. What prompted the renewal was the record-breaking ratings of the season premiere of “American Horror Story: Freak Show”. It racked in a total of 10 million viewers, which didn’t only break “American Horror Story” rating records, but also the entire network! Yup, “AHS: Freak Show” brought in the most viewers in the network’s history! Creator of the show, Ryan Murphy, stated that he already placed hints about next season’s theme in the first two episodes.
