Amy captioned the photo saying,

“I’m so happy to announce … WE ARE ENGAGED!!!! He loves the Lord, he makes me laugh uncontrollably, he’s loyal, he’s patient, he’s my best friend! Of course I said yes!! l love you so much! @kingdillpickle #DillandDuggsforever.”

King was just as excited as he captioned a collage on Instagram saying,

“Well everyone…. WE ARE ENGAGED!!!! @amyduggar I asked you to be my fiancee not just because I love you right now. I got down on one knee because you are the only woman I have and will truly love forever.!!! Xoxo.”

Though the young couple has only been together for under a year, they were serious from the beginning. Unlike her cousins, Amy did not wait until her wedding day to kiss her beau; she has posted several photos kissing King throughout their relationship. Her uncle, Jim Bob, has a different rule: his daughters are only allowed to hold hands until they are engaged and cannot kiss their husband to be until their wedding day.

Amy identifies herself as Christian, yet says,

“I’m not going to change who I am to have a certain image. I’m the free spirit of the family. I’m not being rebellious; I love my family. I just have to be true to myself.”

Congratulations to the soon to be wed couple!
