Antonio Banderas finds himself in the middle of a robot uprising in the trailer for ‘Automata.’ The movie is set in 2044 and robots are something people interact with daily. Banderas plays, Jacq Vacaun, who is an insurance agent that is investigating robots and during his investigations he finds that some robots are acting peculiar. The trailer suggests that something bigger is gong on than just a few robots being conscious and exhibiting a sense of agency.
There is a great cast, which includes: Dylan McDermott (American Horror Story), Melanie Griffith, Javier Bardem, and Robert Forster. The film was directed by Gabe Ilbáñez and was filmed in Bulgaria. The release date in the United States is October 10.
