Arrested Development fans can rest easy, as season five will be released in a matter of time. Arrested Development season four was released last year, and had mixed reviews. It took on a different approach than fans were used to in the first three seasons, as it focused on one period of time, from everyone in the Bluth’s family’s perspective. The theme of the season was how all their lives intertwined even when they were trying to get away from each other. The devoted fans are used to having to wait, as there was a seven year waiting period between when the show ended on Fox, and was picked back up for season four by Netflix. Netflix has had great success with their acquired shows such as Orange is the New Black, and House of Cards. Arrested Development is still getting a great deal of attention, as it is currently up for 3 Emmy’s, Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series (Jason Batemen, as Michael Bluth), Oustanding Musical Composition for a Series (Original Dramatic Score), and Outstanding Single-camera Picture Editing for a Comedy Series. The show already has six well deserved wins, and 25 Emmy nominations. The fifth season, which doesn’t have a set release date, will hopefully feature the changes that audiences have asked for, as Mitchell Hurwitz recognizes fans criticisms. Until the release of the newest season is up on Netflix, all four seasons available as of now
