Spanish designer, Gemma Serra Vila, now based in France, filtered her inspiration from the traditional Balearic sandal from the White Isle, to create a shoe that exudes relaxation with a maximum feel of summer, perfect for a day on the beach or exploring the town by night.
Serra Vila opted to name her new espadrilles label launched for Spring/Summer 14, Ball Pagès, based on shoes traditionally worn by Balearic folk dancers. Delicately hand-woven by local craftsmen, the espadrilles combines the elements of the traditional dance shoe with a modern twist. The Ball Pagès is made from 100 percent natural fibers and bleached using natural dyes.
