Banana Republic has always been a staple in closets. From the basic blazers and button downs, to the classic, yet easy dresses that work so well for interviews.
It goes without saying that many were psyched when Finnish print superstar, Marimekko, teamed up with Banana Republic to produce a twenty-five-piece collection launching in late May. Made of natural fibers, the collection is meant to blend the two distinct styles into a single unified look.
If you aren’t as caught up on Marimekko, it is a Finnish design label best known for it’s bold prints and colors. They not only have apparel for men, women, and children, but also make home décor, bags and accessories, and textiles.
The partnership should bring some new flair to Banana Republic’s more traditional business attire, as well as a little gloss to Marimekko’s girly edge.
