Bethenny Frankle , creator of the SkinnyGirl drink, shapewear, health bars, and fitness videos… is reportedly making her way back to her original stopping ground, on the Real House Of New York , just in time for the season 7 premier. But not so fast, Frankel reportedly refuses to return if Jill Zarin’s contract renews with Bravo.
“Bethenny hasn’t signed a deal with Bravo or the production company for Real Housewives of New York because she is refusing to come back if arch-enemy Jill Zarin returns,” an insider told Radar Online. “For Bethenny to return to the show, she wants to move forward. Having Jill come back would just create more false drama in an attempt to recreate the past.”
“It’s not that Bethenny has any hatred towards Jill, it’s simply she has moved on from all of that,” the source explained. “In fact, Bethenny has run in to Jill and her husband, Bobby , recently and the two have exchanged pleasantries.”
Bravo does not take many chances in their line-up, displayed by their shows frequent turnover rate. Back in 2011, BRAVO fired both Alex McCord and Jill Zarin in one fell swoop. Zarin, for one was not pleased about this, and she let that be known, loud and clear on “Watch What Happens Live”, with Andy Cohen. Let’s just say, this was not one of her most memorable moments.
ROHNY’s cast, along with many other shows have been altered over the years. Last season RHONY featured old-timers, Sonjia Morgan, Luann de Lesseps and some newbies; Carole Radziwill, Heather Thomson and Kristen Taekman.
According to an insider source as told to Radar, producers of the show wants to shake up the cast because the ratings have just plummeted,” and have “told Bethenny she could return as a special guest star, which wouldn’t require as much filming, which is appealing to her.”
Things may not necessary be on Bethenny’s terms.
“They don’t want to rule out anyone ever returning to the show. Bravo knows a Bethenny and Jill reunion would be ratings gold, and don’t appear to be caving in to her demands.” A source told Radar.
Meanwhile, Frankel has had luck milking the cow for all its worth. Creating a slew of shows with the Network, Bethenny Getting Married? Her first spin-off from RHONY. And two subsequent seasons of Bethenny Ever After were well received. After, the cancelation of her self-titled talk show, Bethany is ripe for the-reality-show-picking. Unfortunately, in the backdrop of all this the stars public divorce battle with her ex-husband, Jason Hoppy. The court most recently settled their custody battle, over their daughter, Bryn Hoppy.
