Lately, runways have been taking part in the “no eyebrows” look. Designers like Alexander Wang and Marc Jacobs have been known to dabble in the trend on past runways (Kendall Jenner seemed to have launched her modeling career on that bleached brow give for Jacobs’ Fall 2014 show).
Even the Queen of Brow, supermodel Cara Delevingne, went browless for Givenchy last week—and the web went crazy. But Cara’s not the only celebrity to hop onto the bleached-brow-bandwagon. Stars like Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga, and Katy Perry have all experimented with this once strictly-for-high-fashion aesthetic.
So the question is, are bleached brows fighting their way into mainstream beauty? Or is the (somewhat rebellious) trend best suited for the supermodel and pop star elite? Crazier trends in beauty have occurred before (think the half-shaved head or Rihanna’s blue lipstick), so is it only a matter of time before teen girls beg for their brows to be bleached—and not their bangs?
Sadly, only time will tell. But you don’t have to go as far as bleaching your brows to get the look. Try mixing a heavy-duty concealer, like Makeup Forever’s Full Cover Concealer, $32. And with Halloween around the corner, you can take this trend for a test-drive (just say you’re a supermodel this Halloween) without looking too ridiculous.
Who knew looking like a supermodel was so easy?
