The Holiday season is the perfect time to shake up your winter makeup routine—starting with your lipstick. Put down the nudes and (please oh please) the ChapStick, and instead opt for a luscious, gem-inspired pout that will go with every outfit you sport this season. But remember, with lips as bold as these, keep the rest of your makeup to a minimal (a touch of tinted moisturizer and a swipe of mascara is all you need to look—and no doubt feel—your best).

For a lip look that will last though multiple cocktails, try out Kat Von D’s Everlasting Liquid Lipstick, $19 at Sephora. From colors like Armageddon (a feminine carnation pink), to L.U.V (a deep violet hue), there is no doubt a color that will fit every woman’s personal style (and outfit). Apply with a lip brush for ultimate precision, or simply swipe twice (once on the upper lip, once on the bottom) for a quick-as-anything pout.

Prefer a glossy lip for the holiday season? Then try out YSL’s Rouge Pur Couture Glossy Stain, $35 at Sephora. It’s dinky size means you can stow it away in any size clutch (perfect for party hopping), and it’s staying power means you won’t have to be constantly stuck in the bathroom reapplying. We like Orange de Chine (the perfect orange hue for all skintones, trust us).

Or, maybe, you tend to go big or stay home when it comes to your lipstick? In that case, try Sephora’s Lip Glitters Retractable Pencil, $12. These petite beauties are super compact, super festive, and provide just the right amount of glitter without being too Vegas showgirl-y (with glitter, you can go zero to one hundred real quick). If glitter scares you, opt for Color 4 (a glittering red shade that can pass off as both demure and fun). If you’re looking for a makeup challenge, then why not try Color 5? This sparkly plum shade would do wonders with just a smudge of smoky black eyeliner on the upper lashline–and, of course, mascara…it’s always necessary.
