Brandon Routh, the “Superman Returns” star, was cast in the CW show “Arrow” to play as Ray Palmer or The Atom. According to TVLine, Ray Palmer is an “ unparalleled scientist and inventor” that will become the new owner of Queen Consolidated. It has also been rumored that he will be the love interest of Felicity.
In the DC Comics The Atom has numerous appearances throughout it and has been seen in the animated “Young Justice” and “Justice League Unlimited” series on Cartoon Network. The Atom’s ability or superpower is being able to alter the size of his body and other objects. He can also shrink down – you guessed it – to subatomic levels; hence, the name The Atom.
