Each and every season, the hopeless romantics of the fashion-obsessed world pine after New York’s Bridal Fashion week, and this year, many of the Spring 2015 collections did not disappoint. While the thought of hundreds of slim women parading down an aisle in white dresses of little variation might seem daunting and a bit reminiscent of the movie, Groundhog Day, this season’s catwalks were refreshing and exciting. Designers strayed from the slew of snow-white puffy strapless numbers, and delved into a world of soft pastels, lacy numbers, simple minimalist designs, and even featured some separates.

Straying from the classic, pure white wedding gown, many soft pastel colors graced the runways for the Spring 2015 season. Lace Backs and Sleeves- Lace options aren’t a revolutionary breakthrough in bridal couture, but the combinations this season were classy and romantic. Carolina Herrera showed some classic lace ensembles.

Separates- A few catwalks featured bridal outfits consisting of separate pieces, rather than a classic gown. Vera Wang’s Spring 2015 Bridal video release revealed various separates.
