Bristol Palin has a strong opinion on Miley Cyrus, and it’s not a very positive one. The 24 year old conservative daughter of Sarah Palin slams the 22 year old pop star over comments she made in Paper Magazine.
Miley appeared on the cover of Paper nude, as well as many other pictures inside the spread.
Bristol preaches on her blog, ”While her nude photo shoot has attracted the attention of many, it is her hilarious tirade about tolerance that turned my head.”
Miley has been in the limelight since she was a kid on Hannah Montana. However, many people have expressed their distaste in the changes she’s made to her persona and how she presents herself as she’s grown up into a young woman. The concern all started back when she released her single, “Can’t Be Tamed,” where she appeared more provocatively than the public had ever seen her before. Honestly people, we probably should have paid more attention to the title of her song and taken her word for it.
Over the past few years, Miley has appeared nude in many instances. She is also the founder of the Happy Hippie Foundation, which aids the homeless and LGBT youth. She has become a symbol to many for living the life you want as your true self.
In the Paper article, Miley, who was raised Christian, states that she does not believe in the famous Bible story, Noah’s Ark, and expresses extreme disapproval of lawmakers who do not support the LGBT community.
Bristol Palin retaliates against Cyrus’ statements through her blog:
“Is it just me or does it seem more than a little fake that someone claiming to be accepting of everyone and everything would spew such judgment towards her own parents and their deeply held religious beliefs? She wants everyone else to let her be ‘free to be Miley,’ but seems unwilling to offer the same respect to her parents and those who wish to live out their Christian faith. Oh, Miley. Thanks for giving us the best example of what ‘tolerance’ looks like in Hollywood: it looks a lot like contempt.”
Bristol titled that blog post “Miley Cyrus Claims She’s ‘Least Judgmental Person Ever,’ Calls Christians ‘Insane Motherf—ckers.”
Miley was never quoted in her article having said those words. It seems like Bristol not only read the article wrong, but is the more judgmental person in this situation.
