Camilla Cabello Collaborates with L’Oréal On a New Makeup Collection

The American-Cuban singer-songwriter Camilla Cabello has been an L’Oréal spokesperson for a year now.

With the 21-year-old sensation’s new song “Havana” debuting at number one,  L’Oréal is celebrating by releasing a collection inspired by the hit song.

Cabello signed on as the brand’s spokesperson in 2017. She collaborated closely with L’Oreal on a 14-piece limited-edition collection inspired by  Havana’s beauty.

“I am so excited! The process of getting to build a line from the ground up and getting to pick out the shades, and the fragrance of the lip glosses, and the packaging design has been an incredible experience,” the singer told ELLE in a 2018 report, “I just knew I wanted to make a makeup line that was natural. If I’m not on stage or doing an award show performance, I really don’t like wearing a lot of makeup. I feel like this line is really an expression of what I would wear. It’s glowy and simple.”

According to a 2018 Allure report, the collection, which ranges from $10 to $15, includes two shades of Havana Sun-Lit Bronzer, a liquid that creates a dewy effect; three shades of Havana Gotta Give Brow, a brow pen that creates a natural look; Havana Flash Liner, a black felt-tip marker-style eyeliner; and four shades each of Havana Lip Dew lip gloss and Havana Eye Shadow. It is inspired by Cabello’s everyday approach to makeup, the products can be used to create what L’Oréal Paris describes as an “effortless and glowing” look. The brand says the colors are suitable for all skin tones and have both a natural and sultry effect.

“I am extremely proud and excited about the Havana collection,” Cabello said in a press release. “I wanted to create products that not only I would personally wear, but that would work well across various skin tones. For me, looking and feeling my best helps fuel my confidence and I hope to inspire other people to feel the same.”

The Camila Cabello’s Havana collection with L’Oréal Paris will launch at ulta.com on July 15 and will come to drugstores worldwide in August.

Whenever a brand claims that shades are suitable for all skin tones, I’m always a bit skeptical. Because Camila is a woman of color, though, I hope that she makes sure that this line actually is suitable for all skin tones!
