What happens when fashion top model meets Hollywood’s most eccentric visionary director? The new Chanel No. 5 campaign. The one and only Giselle Bundchen will join forces with Baz Luhrman as the new face for Chanel No. 5 replacing iconic screen starlet Marilyn Monoroe. The brands most beloved scent has had the sponsorship of icon Marilyn Monroe, Catherine decenvue, Audrey tautou, Brad Pitt, and Nicole Kidman. Bundchen was the face of Chanel’s les beiges makeup line in 2012. The line chose Gisele because she is a natural beauty and she represents modern femininity. The ad itself will be released sometime in 2014 and will filmed in NYC and the Hamptons.

Baz Luhrman filmed for Chanel in 2004 when he directed an epic video featuring Kidman and Brazilian actor Rodrigues Santorio, the theme was a love affair style drama story line the was complemented with a grand and glamorous scenery with Kidman wearing gorgeous extravagant Chanel gowns. That is the usual calling card of Baz Lurhman who has a knack for intensifying the story with an equally intense set. He directed the Great Gatsby, Moulin Rouge, Romeo and Juliet, and Australia. All of which had sets that glittered with gold. We could be certain this new campaign will not disappoint. It was reported that Pitt received 7 million for his participation in the Chanel so it is a lucrative deal for both sides. We Cannot wait to see the new campaign but in the meantime you can check out Baz’s 2004 campaign.
