Marc Jacobs is brand that has always appealed to the younger set of fashion worshipers. So, it is a bit shocking that Cher is new face of his campaigns. Or is it? She did accompany him to the Met Gala this year. Plus, Iconic women in their 60s and 70s are the new trend for designer campaign. Joni Mitchell posed for Saint Laurant and Joan Didion for Celine, so Marc Jacobs is kind of following suit.
Nevertheless, Cher looks as chic and fierce as ever. The singer/actress appears perched on a chair against a red background in a glamours black gown and leather glove combo. The director of the Fall 2015 campaign is Kaitie Grand, and photo shot by David Sims.
According to Fashionista.com there is no word if Cher will be the only face of the campaign, or if she will be accompanied by other divas. One thing is for sure, with the 60s revival it’s nice to see older fashion icons in today’s fashion–they paved the way and had so much influence on the styles of yesterday and today.
