Creative Director of Coach, Stuart Vevers, will be bringing the American accessories brand into the world of menswear for the first time. Set to debut at London Collections: Men on January 9th, Vevers will show the brand’s first ever, comprehensive ready-to-wear collection to the public.

“This is the first big step in the right direction for men… I want to create something that will have an impact and make people sit up and take notice,” Vevers told WWD. Coach already offers a limited number of mens outerwear and knitwear pieces—but this collection “will encompass around 20 pieces with a focus on outerwear, but will include other men’s wear apparel items. A full assortment of leather goods, jewelry and shoes will also be offered,” according to WWD.

Will Coach’s impending initiation into the world of menswear inspire other exclusively accessories labels to follow suit? Or will Vever’s plans for Coach fall flat? I guess we’ll just have to wait until January—mark your calendars.
