Coca Cola brings the world’s largest social media festival “DigiTour” to the city that never sleeps. Unlike any other  festivals, DigiFest  is not about people who become famous by singing on the stage, it is about people who become famous by sharing their voices through the internet. It features the famous faces of social media from YouTube, Vine and Instagram.

The event started at 3PM and took place at Citi Field in Queens. The festival also included a range of activities, sponsored by  Instagram, Madonna’s clothing line and Material Girl.

DigiFest NYC was produced by Ryan Seacrest in a partnership with Digitour Media. It presented many favorite Youtube stars and bands including: Fifth Harmony, Cimorelli, Midnight Red and singer Rebecca Black.

The event also streamed live on Ryan Seacrest’s youtube channel. As a broadcaster and producer he says, “I’m a huge believer in the next-generation of talent that is burgeoning from YouTube, Vine and other social platforms, and DigiTour has successfully translated these popular small screen experiences into live, large-scale events that are fun, accessible and brilliantly authentic.”

DigiFest NYC sold out with over 12,500 tickets this weekend, and as a global festival it sold out over more than 100,000 tickets.  Talent agencies, book publishers and television networks predict that in 2015 it will sell more than 250,000 tickets.
