Disney Releases the Last “Beauty and the Beast” Trailer

The final trailer for Walt Disney Studio’s live action “Beauty and the Beast” is now available, according to Coming Soon. The trailer is available on the Disney Movie Trailers YouTube channel, along with three other official previews. Fans anticipating the release can enjoy one more sneak peek before the film opens.

The remake of the 1991 Disney animation will open in theaters on March 17.

The film will follow Disney’s classic story about the small town girl looking for adventure and the cursed prince trapped in a beastly exterior. Belle, the heroine, has big dreams, but feels out of place in her little village. When a strange beast imprisons her in his castle, she discovers there is an enchantment on his domain and his servants, and brings him a chance to break the spell.

Emma Watson, who is best known for her role as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter film franchise, will portray Belle. The Beast is played by Dan Stevens. Other stars include Kevin Kline, who plays Belle’s father; Luke Evans, who portrays the attractive, yet selfish and petty Gaston; and Josh Gad in the role of Gaston’s sidekick, Lefou.

Other stars appear as members of the castle’s enchanted staff. In the part of Lumière is Ewan McGregor, Plumette is played by Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Ian McKellen is Cogsworth, and Emma Thompson is Mrs. Potts.

The film, unlike the recent remake of “Cinderella” will retain many songs from the original score, keeping close to the musical animation. New recordings of the classic songs by Alen Menken and Howard Ashman will appear alongside new music, which Alen Menken wrote with Tim Rice, an Oscar-winning artist. Menken himself has won eight Oscars. The original music for “Beauty and the Beast” took the Academy Awards for Best Song and Best Original Score.

Tickets for “Beauty and the Beast” are now available in advance.
