Simple bold colors were showcased in DKNY’s latest collection, along with a lovely mix of feathers, fringes, and textured patterns to spice things up a bit. Executive Vice President of design Jane Chung described the collection as a “Black and White Ball-meets-Factory” feel – both whimsical yet right down to business, working the brand’s favor, as usual. The collection had just the right amount of pizzazz to keep it from going overboard. DKNY was true to their form paying close attention to small details in order to satisfy the consumer. In a pastel pink outfit, models wore a fringed trench coat to keep texture and add pop. Even outfits that modeled a single color played with metallics or sheer fabrics to bring out variation and depth. It seems that the theme that the label is going for with this collection is plain and simple, but still incorporating some playfulness into their styles.
