Last Sunday’s episode of ‘Game of Thrones’ was called one of the series’ best, with leading ladies Sansa and Daenerys scoring major victories. And after an episode like that, who wouldn’t want to channel their inner Queen in the North or Khaleesi by rocking a ‘Game of Thrones’ inspired outfit that makes you feel like a conquering royal?
Sansa Stark
To evoke Sansa’s style, you don’t necessarily need Sophie Turner’s gorgeous red hair. However, braiding is key. Sansa’s hair is almost always in elaborate braids, either pulling her hair halfway or fully back. This past episode featured a long braid that wrapped over her shoulder.
To get the warrior-princess styled look, start by creating a middle part. Take two sections of hair on each side, turning each into small braids, as you French braid down each side of the head. Once the base of the skull is reached, braid the two together until the rest of the braid is finished.
The rest of Sansa’s look, her winter dress and cloak, may not be exactly appropriate for summer, so I’ll be describing how to get a Sansa inspired look from season 4. Daenerys Targaryen
To look like Dany, loosely curl your hair to get her effortless waves. Then take two sections from the side of your head and braid them to meet in the middle, forming a half-crown. Leave the rest of your hair down.
As for clothing, the Silver Queen of Meereen wears a lot of light blue and light gray. This light gray dress from Lulus.com looks similar to Dany’s wedding dress in season 1, as well as her more recent cutout dress from season 4.
