As many people who follow fashion may know, nothing seems to communicate sophistication and rebelliousness at the same time more than a jumpsuit.
The one-piece ensemble is able to fill the role of a dress, while simultaneously allowing for a sense of comfort and functionality that only comes with being able to wear pants. Thus, it’s no surprise that we see more and more of them on the runway, red carpet, and even the streets.
One of the most recent examples of this is Dua Lipa, who stepped out for a night on the town in New York City wearing a skin-tight multi-colored bodysuit from Versace’s Fall 2018 collection. The outfit is made of spandex and is covered in a multi-colored geometric design. It is made all the more striking with its slight shoulder pads and high-collar.
The singer styled the outfit with backless mules in a matching pattern and stacks of rings on her fingers.
This particular jumpsuit seems really popular, as it was also spotted on supermodel Gigi Hadid wore the same outfit the CFDA awards with red pumps, slicked-back hair, and matching lipstick.
It should be particularly interesting to see just what becomes of this jumpsuit trend.
