Whether you live in a college dormitory or a country home, having a house plant or two can really brighten things up. But if you don’t have a green thumb, taking care of a plant may seem like a momentous task. Here are some plants that are hardier than their cousins.
Bamboo is easy to find for sale and easy to take care of. Sometimes sold as “Lucky Bamboo,” the most important requirement is to not over water. Most potted bamboo has stones or orbs to keep it upright instead of being planted in actual dirt, and as long as it is filled with water, it should be fine. Your bamboo doesn’t even need to be in direct sunlight, and in fact it will be better off in partial shade.
