Who knew your favorite breakfast foods could also be used for your hair? Here are some simple and easy ways to take your favorite morning ingredients and replenish your hair, in as little as 20 minutes!
Raw Eggs – If you have super oily hair, you might want to use the egg whites only. The good thing about using eggs to treat your hair is because they are rich in proteins and fats, which help moisturize even the most brittle hair! Apply it to your entire head, for about 15-20 minutes, and rinse it out with cool water. Then shampoo hair! If you’re using the whole egg, don’t do this more than once a month. If you’re using just the egg whites, you may do this every 2 weeks.
Honey – If you have heavily dry or damaged hair, repair it with honey, which is particularly known for its moisturizing effects. Using only 1/2 cup of honey on clean, damp hair, make sure to let it sit on your entire head for about 20 minutes, and rinse it out with warm water. If it is too sticky to work with, try adding a tablespoon of olive oil to make it more loose and flexible. You may use this for your hair once a month.
Lemon Juice – Having trouble with an itchy or flaky scalp? Lemon juice helps smooth dry, flaky skin, and olive oil is a great moisturizer! Take 2 tablespoons of each of the following: lemon juice, water and olive oil. Mix the liquids together and lather it on your entire head for 20 minutes, then rinse with cool water, before shampooing. You may use this mixture for your hair ever other week!
