“Music is more than just a way to be entertained. It can be a powerful force that heals and redeems us while bringing us together with a community we needed but didn’t even know was there.”
-THUMP
At Electric Forest, a music festival held in Michigan, Lia Holland started a group called Electric Forces. This uplifting story narrated by David Carber from THUMP, is about a multimedia booth, created for the first time this year, that records the stories from our nation’s veterans. Most of them were injured while they were serving, had lost limbs, and were traumatized by the war. They stated that going to these music festivals was an extremely important part of their healing and meeting other veterans that had gone through the same tragedy and connecting with them through music was life changing.
“Something magical happens when a group of people come together to dance.”
