Elizabeth Gilbert, author of best seller “Eat, Pray, Love” stopped by the Oprah network this week. Sitting down with the big “O” and talking about some important issues. In her interview she addressed transformation, “listening to the call” and staying true to finding your authentic self.
Elizabeth had gone on a personal “transformational journey”, years ago. Leaving the country and traveling to Bali and India. She later wrote about it what she experienced in the book that eventually made her famous “Eat, Pray, Love”.
On the show, she stated that, often women underestimate the right answer the “big questions” on their own terms. That some women just didn’t get the “memo” or make the connection that they are “allowed to serve themselves”.
She discussed her own spiritual practice and battle with perfectionism. Calling out ideals of perfection as a fear based illusion.
The show airs in a two-part special October 5th and 12th. For more on the show’s details and air time, check out Elizabeth Gilbert’s website.
