Elle Fanning and Dakota had a cute sister moment: Sisters have a bond unlike anyone else’s, and Dakota and Elle Fanning are living examples of that. In addition to their informal red carpet gatherings and cute Instagram homages, the two have begun to dress similar (see: their matching Chanel).
Elle Fanning and Dakota had a cute sister moment
The siblings displayed their sister synchronization on Monday at the Broadway play Appropriate’s opening night in New York City, where they donned matching all-black costumes. Elle chose a black strapless dress from The Row with sleeves wrapped around the waist and a top collar reminiscent of a blazer. The actress completed the ensemble with black patent leather ballet flats and Cartier jewelry as accessories. The dress’s sleeveless design highlighted Fanning’s arm tattoos. Her blond hair was pulled back into a low bun and tied with a beautiful black ribbon.
Dakota, her older sister, approached the little black dress differently. She wore a matching maxidress that peeked out from behind the duster, along with a large, enormous coat. Her straight blonde hair was parted in the center, and she accessorized with a couple of big gold rings and a matching black satin bucket bag.
Even though their relationship appears to be close-knit, the two are always able to stay true to themselves.
An example of that? The sisters showed up at the same event earlier this year with two somewhat distinct appearances. Elle chose a pinstriped vest and trousers pair, while Dakota wore Loewe’s viral red floral leather dress for the Hollywood Reporter and Jimmy Choo Power Stylists dinner.
With an Instagram birthday message, Elle declared her sisterly love for Dakota earlier this year. Elle expressed her appreciation to her sister in the caption that went with the photo. “We had a moment last year, sitting on the couch and we looked at each other and you said, ‘thank god I have a sister,'” she continued. “Cody, I couldn’t manage life without you! I cherish you.
