Ellie Saab’s 2015’s Haute Couture is Perfection

Princesses and Mermaid-en’s, are the kind of images Ellie Saab 2015 Couture show inspires. Reaching for the ethereal while seamlessly blending with a feminine silhouette.

The dresses seem formless but at a closer look you see it’s simply an illusion. There is a blending of two tangible forms; the model and the craftsman hands, meeting gracefully to create these these perfectly stitched gowns.

The color palette creates the story of fall/winter, flowing from icy metallic, to peachy reds, and culminating in a faint green accent.

Something of a natural world inspiration mixed with the sheer ingenuity of Ellie Saab, co-conspired to create a collection that take on lives of it’s own.

The images of vines, drapes, and icicles move with the garment. All of them works of art, and all of them wearable.

Show culminates in a beautifully stitched white wedding dress. With a head-to-toe vial; the top half is all mesh, covered in immaculate beating and stitching. The image of a nude bodice underneath protrudes atop of white flowers and satin lace. The bottom flowing to the ground in a bell shape.
