Embrace Martha Stewart’s Metallic Pants All Season Long: Every year, New Year’s Eve sneaks up on me. It’s difficult to follow Christmas, after all, as most people think about it shortly after Thanksgiving, if not earlier. Additionally, I frequently forget to get a flight home since I’m so focused on the one holiday, which means I’m scrambling to find last-minute New Year’s Eve “fits.” But this year, I really have to thank Martha Stewart, whose ensemble served as the model for my next party ensemble.
Stewart demonstrated to her Instagram fans this past weekend how to inject some fun into an otherwise elegant ensemble. She wore metallic leggings on the bottom and a silky, champagne-colored blouse with a big tie at the front on top (this one from Banana Republic is almost same!). Why not attempt silver pants when she has already done silver shoes and silver dresses? Seems appropriate for her.
Her party outfit redefined business-casual, but it was her sparkly pants that I went straight out and bought. The silver color is ideal for New Year’s Eve—in my opinion, they’d make even the most basic top appear festive—but it’s also useful enough to wear on other occasions. In my hunt for the ideal lookalike, I also discovered ten looks that are now in style and closely resemble Stewart’s.
