These are the artists in fashion, not the designers, but those who piece together an outfit based on instinct. It’s a bit like performance art, getting dressed in the morning. We have no idea how others will react to what we’re wearing; still we have to express ourselves somehow. Even by sticking to a t-shirt and jeans we’re giving off a version of ourselves to the world.

Art and fashion are one and the same. Sometimes art can be colorful, giant, and even a little ugly. Other times we see a nearly blank canvas in a modern art museum and consider what that might signify. People are fashion’s canvas, and lately we’ve been treated more and more like one.

Adorning fashion as art; the explicit fashion meets art movement has been around since human beings began to find clothing to be more than a necessity. Project Runway is an example of how material is transformed into clothing that may not be wearable on a dinner date, but is no less important and poignant. Its not all trash bag dresses and marshmallow suits though, the art is in the photograph, the print, the unusual hat, the torn white t-shirt. Here, we give you bloggers that remind us of why we take the extra time to get ready and wear more than our go-to leggings and butt-covering sweater.
