Loafers are typically seen as the other, more businesslike type of flat—at least when compared to the more feminine ballet flat. Their great aesthetic diversity means that they are beloved by everyone from grandpas to French style bloggers. So how come more women haven’t given their heels a rest and reached for a pair of chic, sleek (not to mention ground-level) loafers? Maybe they think that loafers are too manly, or clunky, or just wrong for work/going out? Thankfully, these stylish pairs are anything but (and yes, you can wear them with dresses and skirts).
