FKA Twigs, a British musician and dancer, recently released the music video for ‘Two Weeks,’ a single for her upcoming album LP1. Her single ‘Two Weeks’ mesmerizes the listener with the layer of vocals and sounds produced in the track. You hear a whole new vocal range from her and sound that differs from her previously released songs.
If the song doesn’t mesmerize you the music video for ‘Two Weeks’ certainly will. In the video the camera slowly pans away and down from FKA Twigs where you eventually see the resemblance between her and Aaliyah.
FKA Twigs is wearing a crown or headpiece similar to what Aaliyah wore in the movie ‘Queen of the Dammed.’ As the camera continues to slowly pan out there are smaller versions of FKA Twigs dancing around a larger version of her sitting in a chair.
You eventually see what is happening all around the lager version of FKA Twigs, which is reminiscent of Kanye West’s music video for “Power.” FKA Twigs and Kanye West are both in positions that have them at the center of the music video with people moving around them. A huge difference is that FKA Twigs is in every component of the music video from her center position to the last shot with her underwater.
