Fox Announces Reboot of ‘Prison Break’

Prison Break was a television series starring Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell that had its run from 2005 to 2009. The television series produced by Fox had a huge audience and did pretty well. As of now, the studio wants to cash in on that success once again; Fox has announced that it will probably reboot the series.

The majority of times, reboots don’t particularly do too well. Therefore, it is truly a risk to remake the series, especially when the original did not even air too many decades ago. Only time will tell if a fairly recent show will do well with a reboot or not.

The CEO of Fox Group announced very recently that the show is set to have a reboot. Paul Scheuring, who is the creator of the show, has that the actors from the original, like Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell, are set to return to the show.

Dana Walden, the CEO and co-chairman said,

“I would describe it as a bit of a sequel. It picks up the characters several years after we left them in the last season of the show. The brothers will be back. Some of the iconic characters from that show will be back. I don’t think [exec producer] Paul [Scheuring] knows exactly where he’s going over the 10-episode arc, but it definitely will address some questions that were set up at the end of the series for a new audience.”

Hopefully, this reboot will sit well with the audience.
